Only URA-KCCA of five Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) matches on Wednesday failed to provide goals and victory.
As the aforementioned fired blanks at Namboole, Express, SC Villa, Bul and UPDF all registered wins to go into a two-week break buoyed.
In Masaka, striker Ayub Bogere, who spent last season on a loan at Bright Stars, handed Villa a 1-0 win – the Jogoos’ second – over Mbarara.
Victory moved the 16-time league champions level on seven points with Police, who stay ahead on goal difference.
In Arua, home boy Alfred Leku was the hero at the Betway Greenlight Stadium as his goal subjected Police to their first defeat of the season.
Onduparaka’s 1-0 win over the policemen has the West Nile side in fifth on the log with seven points, three fewer leaders Vipers.
At Wankulukuku Daniel Sserunkuma scored his first goal since his return to Express as they picked a 2-0 win over Maroons, who remain the only winless team thus far. David Ndihabwe scored the other.
Pierre Muhindi Kambale and Mike Ndere were on target at Kakindu Stadium as Bul beat UPDF 2-0.
