SC Villa in Vipers path, KCCA can’t afford to blink

Friday January 17, 2020

  • Police Vs Kyetume – StarTimes stadium, Lugogo 1pm
  • KCCA Vs Tooro United – StarTimes stadium, Lugogo 4.30pm
  • Vipers Vs SC Villa – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4pm Live on TV

Vipers and SC Villa renew growing rivalry when they face off at Kitende on Friday.

On the same day, KCCA will seek to bounce back from a shock 2-1 loss to Bright Stars while Police would love to continue their run when they host Kyetume in a lunch time KickOff.

Back at Kitende, the visitors go into the game in bad state having lost three games in a row so far and losing against the Venoms will see them set a bad record as they have never lost four league games in a row.

Vipers, leaders with 42 points could miss the services of Captain Halid Lwaliwa as well as anchor man Siraje Sentamu on the evening after they limped off against Proline on Wednesday.

Villa will draw inspiration from their last visit to Kitende which they won 3-1 if they are to add to their 27 points tally that puts them 5th on the log at the moment.

At Lugogo, there will be two games – first Police will need to build on their 6-1 win against Express with a date against Kyetume.

The visitors picked their first point of the new year with a 1-1 draw against Tooro United.

Later in the evening, KCCA host Tooro United with a target to win and keep pressure on leaders Vipers.
