This weekend provides another tight schedule in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) with five matches and 10 teams in action on Friday and Saturday.

The biggest of all will see table leaders KCCA face off against bitter rivals SC Villa in a top of the table clash on Saturday at Masaka Recreation Ground.

But before then, former champions Vipers will have a chance to get back to winning ways on Friday when they host Soana at St. Mary’s Kitende.

The hosts have now gone three league games without victory and haven’t scored their 3-0 win at home to Proline more than two weeks ago and face Alex Isabirye in the dugout who rarely loses to Vipers.

“We have nothing to fear, we are ready to bring the game to our opponents,” said Wadada ahead of the tie.

Though realistically out of the race for the title, the Vipers captain says they still have a lot to play for.

“We still have a lot at stake, there is something to fight for and we don’t want to rest on our laurels.

At Bombo, Proline visits The Saints as both sides still fight for life in the top tier. With 30 points and 8th position, the visitors are only five points above safety while the hosts, 13th with 26 points are just a point and slot above the drop zone.

The following day, Onduparaka have a chance to avenge Uganda Cup defeat when they host Sadolin Paints.

The Painters eliminated the Caterpillars from the competition a week ago and with the match in Arua, the hosts will fancy their chances.

Bul also hosts Lweza in a big relegation fight at Kakindu as both sides know maximum points gives them more chances of staying up.

On to the big one, SC Villa hosts KCCA seeking to bounce back in style after back to back losses to Express and Kirinya Jinja SS left the title chances out of their hands.

The Jogoos can redeem their chances by beating their main rivals at Masaka to regain top spot and hope KCCA, top on the table with 47 points, same as their rivals falter in their games in hand.
