SC Villa have a chance on Tuesday to ascend to the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) summit when they travel to Matugga to face the Saints.

Currently level on 41 points with leaders KCCA after 21 games (the latter have played three fewer matches), the Jogoos can open a three point lead at the top with victory over Saints at the Champions Stadium.

The 16-time record league champions come into this fixture heavy on confidence after they dismissed Onduparaka 4-1 in Masaka on Sunday.

“We are fitter now and playing with more aggression,” said Wasswa Bbosa after Onduparaka’s thrashing.

Bbosa will mainly bank on Emmanuel Okwi for goals against a sometimes stubborn Saints. Okwi is in fine form, his hat-trick against Onduparaka bringing his tally to six.

All his goals have come in the second round, the same period he joined Villa. On the other hand, the struggling Saints come into this match encouraged by a draw against Bright Stars in their previous outing.

The result left the 12th placed Saints three points and two places above relegation places.

At Wankulukuku, Express will look to a second successive win of the second round following their 1-0 victory over Kirinya- Jinja. They welcome Police.

Elsewhere, Soana entertain JMC Hippos at Kavumba, Lweza travel to Sadolin, and Bul face Bright Stars.
