SC Villa overcome 10-man Onduparaka

SC Villa 2-1 Onduparaka

Sports Club Villa came from a goal down to beat a 10-man Onduparaka in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) match played at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Friday.

Onduparaka striker Muhammed Shaban gave the visitors an early lead inside 10 minutes but Villa midfielder Salim Abdallah and forward Isaac Ogwang replied for a 2-1 half time lead.

This is SC Villa’s second victory in five matches, moving them to seven points in 13th place of the 16-1eam log.

Onduparaka, who were losing their third match of the campaign, remain eighth with as many points.

The Caterpillars, however, played the final 25 minutes with a man fewer following a send-off of Rashid Okocha after a second bookable offence.

Shaban broke the deadlock for Onduparaka on 10 minutes, beating Meddie Kibirige in Villa goal.

Villa then equalized on the 25th minute through Abdallah, youngster Travis Mutyaba providing the assist.

The Jogoos then scored the eventual winner through Ogwang to claim all three points.
