SC Villa Vs Sadolin Paints – Nakivubo @ 4.30pm
The title may be already far from reach but that won’t stop SC Villa from targeting a better spot as the league draws closer to its end.
The team hosts Jinja based Sadolin Paints targeting maximum points and according to Ibrahim Kirya, the interim coach in charge at Villa Park, every point is important at the moment to finish in a good position.
“We were runners up last season and so we need to be near the top again,” he told upl.co.ug. “The title is gone but there is still a lot to play for in terms of position on the log,” he added.
Ambrose Kirya scored the winner when the two teams met in the first round and will be the go to man again on Friday after he netted the only goal as the Jogoos returned to winning ways at Police on Tuesday.
SC Villa, the record league winners with 16 titles sit sixth on the 16 team standing and victory will lift them above URA to fifth.
Ninth on the log with 39 points, three points away from home will see Samadu Musafiri’s side displace SC Villa to seventh.
Former SC Villa forward Victor Emenayo will be the centre of attraction as he turns guns against former bosses.
The Nigerian left the Villa Park outfit at the end of last season.
