Sixteen time league champions SC Villa have confirmed their first signing.

The new arrival is goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige who joins the Jogoos on a free transfer from Tooro United.

The details of the deal were undisclosed but the former Vipers SC goalkeeper couldn’t hide his joy at joining the biggest football club in the country.

“I am so glad to have joined SC Villa,” Kibirige said in a video released by the club.

“Joining Villa has been an easy decision for me, this is the move I have been waiting for because Villa is the biggest club in Uganda and I hope to win more trophies with this club.”

He replaces departed Samson Kirya who reports indicate has signed for Wakiso Giants.

SC Villa ended last season in 3rd place behind winners Vipers and KCCA.
