Record league winners, SC Villa, on Saturday unveiled a new kit to be used in the forthcoming 2016/17 season.
The kit was revealed at the club’s training base, Villa Park, Nsambya where fans had converged alongside the executive led by Ben Immanuel Misagga.
The home jersey is the club’s traditional blue with a big white bar and tiny Red stripes on the front. There are also white and red stripes on the sleeves but only stop in the middle of it.
The away kit is white, with a blue bar on the front and red stripes as well whilst the third kit, which president Misagga called ‘neutral’, is all blue with two white stripes and a red on the front. The same features are on the sleeves.
In the same vein, the club introduced replica jerseys for the fans and this time round, they bear names of players in the current squad.
According to Misagga, over Shs16 million shillings has been realised from the merchandise since going onto the market on Saturday.
Each replica costs Shs25,000 and fans showed desire by immediately buying on the unveiling day at Villa Park.
Meanwhile, the club also introduced seasonal membership cards that will cost between Shs10,000 and Shs25,000 but they are annual. Over Shs12.4 million has been raised from their sale, according to Misagga.
