Soltilo Bright Stars 3-1 Arua Hill
Nelson Senkatuka struck a hat-trick as Soltilo Bright Stars thrashed 10-man Arua Hill 3-1 at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Thursday.
The striker’s fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season shot him to the top of the scoring charts, one ahead of BUL’s Alex Kitata.
Arua Hill, who were hardly helped by the sending off of Yusuf Makutum on 32 minutes, got their consolation through Ibrahim Musa in added time of the first half.
Senkatuka’s treble lifts Bright Stars three places up to 10th on as many points from nine matches.
Arua Hill, who were losing their seventh in nine matches, remain bottom on just four points.
Senkatuka opened the scoring as early as the third minute, with his second goal coming in added time of the first half before Arua Hill’s Musa made sure it went into the break with the visitors trailing only by a goal.
But the Bright Stars striker, Senkatuka, was in an unforgiving mood on the day, completing his hat-trick and the home side’s victory on 52 minutes.
