Nelson Senkatuka ended second behind league top scorer Juma Balinya of Police when the Bright Stars striker plundered five goals in the 6-1 thumping of relegated Paidha Black Angels on Saturday.
Balinya completed his season on 19 goals as he fired blanks in the 2-0 defeat to Mbarara City, with Jude semugabi and
Ivan Eyam scoring for the hosts.
But it is Senkatuka who grabbed the headlines on a day SC Villa and KCCA also scored six times each in 6-0 and 6-1 victories over Nyamityobora and Maroons.
The Bright Stars striker, Senkatuka, scored on 4, 8, 24, 56 and 64 minutes, the first time a player was scoring five goals this season.
James Angu added the other to complete Brights Stars routing of relegated Paidha, who got their consolation through Jackson Nsubuga.
The result sees Stars finish the 2018/19 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) eighth on 41 points.
At Lugogo, a Patrick Henry Kaddu brace and one goal apiece from Muzamiru Mutyaba, Allan Okello, Allan Kyambadde and Herbert Achai demolished Maroons 6-1. Seif Batte scored Maroons consolation.
It was the perfect way to crown the season as the champions ended with 66 points, seven ahead of second placed Vipers.
At Namboole, SC Villa recovered from obscurity to thump relegated Nyamityobora 6-0 two days after they survived the drop.
Mike Sserumaga helped himself to a brace, with Ronald Magwali, Pius Wangi, Joseph Ssemujju and Albert Mugisa each adding another.
The result saw Villa finish two places above relegation, their worst ever finale, with 34 points.
Elsewhere, deposed champions VIpers had Brian Nkuubi to thank for the 1-0 victory over Bul. They finished second on 59 points.
