Onduparaka 0-2 KCCA
KCCA striker Muhammad Shaban finally scored his first goal since returning to the club as the Lugogo side beat his boyhood team Onduparaka 2-0 on Friday.
Forward Allan Okello netted the other at Bombo Military Barracks Ground as KCCA won two on the bounce since their one-all draw with URA a fortnight ago.
KCCA’s seventh win in 10 matches temporarily moved them top of the StatTimes Uganda Premier League table on goal difference.
Wakiso Giants, who play their 12th game later on the day against BUL, have the same 22 points as KCCA.
This was the last game Onduparaka were hosting in Bombo before returning to their Greenlight Stadium in Aria.
The West Nile side played their first five home games away due to sanctions over fan violence.
The Caterpillars remain bottom of the 15-team log with only two points from 10 games.
Back at Bombo, Okello put KCCA ahead in the 31st minute, converting from the spot after Rogers Mato was fouled in the box.
Shaban then doubled the advantage for the visitors at the stroke of halftime with a cool finish but did not celebrate out of respect for his former club.
The striker returned to Lugogo at the start of the season but has struggled with injuries.
