Uganda 2-2 Swaziland

Muhammad Shaban was sent off late in the game as Uganda Hippos drew 2-2 with Swaziland in their second match at the COSAFA U20 Championship.

The team skipper had scored earlier as well as club teammate at KCCA Allan Okello in a closely contested fixture in Kitwe.

Shaban levelled matters in the first half heading off a rebound after Tsabedze Muzi had put the Swazi junior side in the lead.

Okello put Matia Lule’s side in the lead for the first time in the second half but with less than five minutes to the final whistle, Order Mamba equalised as the two sides shared spoils.

The Hippos had Shaban sent off late in the game for a second yellow card for simulation.

Uganda’s next game is against Malawi on Monday and a point will be enough to send them to the next stage.
