Friday April 22, 2016 Police vs Simba – Kavumba @ 4.30pm
Exactly a month ago, Police bagged their last league win and have since drawn three and lost two fixtures including a stalemate with relegation fighters Saints and a shock loss away to Maroons.
With another relegation-bound side visiting in Simba, Sam Timbe and company take no chances as they seek to end the winless run.
“It doesn’t matter where they lie on the table,” Timbe told upl.co.ug, “We are on a bad run and we must halt that by winning games such as this although it promises to be another tough outing,” he added.
The Cops won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Bombo with Joseph Ssentume grabbing the winner. They will fancy their chances of completing the double over the army side.
For John Kayanja’s side, any outcome short of maximum points will leave their chances of survival hanging by the thread.
The former champions sit third from the base on the 16-team log with 22 points; five adrift of a safety slot.
