FT: Tunisia 2-0 Uganda
Uganda Cranes have lost the first of their three international friendly games as they prepare for the 2017 Africa Nations Cup finals.
The loss came at the hands of Tunisia at the Stade de Olympique El Mensah as the hosts won 2-0 with a goal in each half.
Hamza Lahmar curled a free kick past the wall and into the net after seven minutes before Mohamed Ali Yaakoubi doubled the lead two minutes after the break.
Cranes Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic gave chance to 17 players to impress including six who feature in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
Benjamin Ochan, Muhammad Shaban, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Timothy Awany came on after the break and enjoyed 45 minutes while Edirisa Lubega and Hassan Wasswa Mawanda started the game.
In the aftermath of the game, Micho is set to name his 23 man squad for the finals as the team now relocates to UAE for friendly matches against Ivory Coast and Slovakia.
