Uganda Cranes Coach Sebestien Desabre has summoned six players from the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) for the training camp in Niger.

The 23-man squad was announced on Wednesday May 16 at the FUFA House.

Only champions KCCA and log leaders Vipers contributed the players to the team.

Goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, defender Timothy Awany and centre forward Muhammad Shaban are the players from KCCA while Vipers have midfield gem Taddeo Lwanga, right back Nicholas Wadada and forward Milton Karisa.

The Cranes will take on Niger and Central African Republic in a three-nation mini tournament.

“The main objective of this training camp is to have the players gel together in preparation for the four AFCON 2019 qualification matches between September and November 2018.’ Desabre noted.

The summoned players are expected to depart the country on the 26th May 2018.
