Soana Football Club remain confident of achieving their season’s target of finishing in the top half of the table despite their recent second round struggles.
Their most recent misfortune came on Saturday when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) defending champions KCCA.
The result left Soana dangerously close to relegation spots.
Soana are 12th on 21 points, three ahead of Proline, who slipped into the bottom three after UPDF continued their resurgence by pipping Mbarara 1-0.
“We made one defensive mistake and we were punished,” said Soana assistant coach David Mutono.
“But our target remains finishing among the top 10 teams.”
Soana have won only five matches our of 19, drawing six of them and losing eight.
