Ssekajugo nets four as URA hit Wakiso for five

Tuesday, February 15, results

Wakiso Giants 0-5 URA
Bright Stars 1-1 Police

Viane Ssekajugo came back to haunt his former club, Wakiso Giants, as the winger scored four goals in URA’s commanding 5-0 demolition of the hosts at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Tuesday.

That was not enough punishment for the hosts as they finished the game a man down after George Kaddu was sent off following a second booking.

Kabon Living added the icing on the cake with the fifth for the Tax Collectors to close on StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) leaders Vipers and KCCA.

Vipers top on 39 points, three more than KCCA and five ahead of URA, who were winning their first ever league match away to Wakiso Giants

Ssekajugo, who did not celebrate against his former team, scored the opener in the second minute after racing through to Steven Mukwala’s glanced header.

His second on 42 minutes followed sustained pressure against a battling Wakiso, but they could not prevent going behind 2-0 at half time.

Ssekajugo completed his hat-trick on 60 minutes before bundling in the fourth off a Saidi Kyeyune corner later on.

URA’s fifth came when Kabon dispossessed Moses Aliro to resoundingly call it a day.

Elsewhere, Juma Balinya scored 16 minutes from full time to help Police rescue a point in the 1-1 draw with Soltilo Bright Stars. Yasin Mugume scored for the hosts.
