URA 3-2 Simba
Robert Ssentongo scored twice as URA beat hard-fighting Simba 3-2 at Mehta Grounds, Lugazi.
The league top marksman gave the hosts a deserved lead inside four minutes from the spot after a foul in the forbidden area before completing brace with three minutes time.
In between, Ronald Kigongo had doubled the former champions lead with a goal in the 55th minute.
Ssentongo’s double took him to 15 league goals in the campaign but the home team had to endure tension before the final whistle as the army side scored twice within two minutes.
First, Aggrey Kirya cut the lead with an 88th minute goal and within three minutes of additional time, ex-URA defender Musa Docca netted a penalty to set up a nervy ending.
Kefa Kisala’s men held on for the three points that lift them to third on the log with 35 points; same as fourth placed Express who have an inferior goal difference.
Simba remains second from bottom of the standings with 16 points.
