Sam Ssimbwa has been hired by URA as the interim coach until end of the season.
The experienced tactician replaces Paul ‘Latest’ Nkata who threw in the towel on Tuesday following a humiliating defeat at the hands of reigning champions KCCA.
The Tax Collectors lost 7-2 to the Kasasiro in what is arguably the worst game of the season from the four-time champions.
Ssimbwa, formerly at KCCA, Express and SC Villa will be in charge of the URA games till end of season but is more likely to continue with them next season if he performs well.
“Sam Ssimbwa is our new head coach for a tenure of four months for these remaining five matches until the end of the season,” confirmed URA CEO Kulubya
The well-travelled Ssimbwa was unveiled on Thursday and his first game will be next week away to Onduparaka.
He will be assisted by Hamza Kalanzi, former assistant to Nkata.
