Masavu 1 – 1 Mbarara City
Onduparaka 0 – 0 URA
There were draws for mid-table challengers and relegation outfits as the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) takes a final bend of the 2017/18 season.
Sam Ssimbwa’s URA picked a good point at Onduparaka in a goalless draw in Arua while bottom side Masavu and Mbarara could only settle for a 1-1 stalemate in Entebbe.
Ibrahim Pengere scored scored for 10-man Masavu, who had Philly Lutaaya sent off late on, on 41 to cancel out Emmanuel Ibe Obina’s opener on the half hour.
The result keeps Masavu at the bottom of the log while Mbarara have 28 points, two ahead of Express and Proline – the other teams occupying relegation spots.
For Onduparaka, the point off URA has them fourth on 42 points while the tax collectors are 10th on 32.
