Only two goals were scored from as many games as the league returned for the first time in over 17 days.

All the two goals came at the Kyabazinga stadium where Kirinya Jinja SS needed a late equaliser to deny visitors Lweza maximum points in a dramatic game.

Following a goalless first half, Moses Ndaula thought he had scored the winner with five minutes to end the tie only for Godfrey Mubiru to grab a leveller in the second minute of added time as the two sides remained unmoved on the log.

Alex Isabirye’s side, who drew their 7th home league game remain second from bottom with 9 points while Lweza is stays 11th with 14 points.

At Champions Stadium, Mwererwe, Bright Stars frustrated visitors URA in a barren stalemate – the two sides’ fifth in as many meetings in succession.

The Tax collectors moved to 5th on the table with 18 points while Bright Stars are 7th with 16 points.

Action resumes on Saturday with six fixture but the big one is at Nakivubo stadium, where Vipers host rivals SC Villa in battle between second and third.

Vipers hold a decent record against the Jogoos with no loss in the previous 14 league meetings but Shafik Bisaso’s side are the most on form side with four wins in the previous five games.

At Wankulukuku, Matia Lule begins his Express reign with a date against Sadolin Paints, KCCA host Proline at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo in a fierce derby while Police host JMC Hippos at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.

In the other game on the day, The Saints host Onduparaka who are yet to pick maximum points on the road.
