URA 2-2 Soltilo Bright Stars

Visitors Soltilo Bright Stars came from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw against URA at Nakisunga Ssaza Ground, Mukono on Wednesday.

James Begisa and George Ssenkaaba gave URA a two-goal headstart but coach Asaph Mwebaze’s Stars rallied to level through goals from Nelson Senkatuka and Emmanuel Loki.

URA moved into fifth place on six points on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table, while Bright Stars are eighth on five. Both have played five matches apiece.

Begisa put the hosts ahead two minutes to half time via a free kick before Ssenkaaba doubled the advantage four minutes into the second period.

The visitors, Bright Stars, pushed to reduce the deficit and pulled a goal back through Senkatuka in the 66th minute.

URA were hanging on now, but hang on they failed as Loki secured Bright Stars, who are yet to win or lose a game, a late point.

Coach Sam Timbe’s URA next travel to Wakiso Giants on November 1 while Bright Stars host SC Villa four days later.
