Two suspects who allegedly beat up assistant referee Fahad Sekayuba on his way from officiating the 1-1 draw between UPDF and Express FC have been remanded to Luzira prison until November 28.

Noah Mukenya and Sulaiman Zimula appeared in court at Matugga on Tuesday November 14 for mention of the case before court was adjourned.

The two along with others at large allegedly violently attacked Sekayuba as he was returning to Kampala after the UPDF FC Vs Express FC game in Bombo.

Earlier this month, Zimula and Mukenya were criminally charged and remanded to Luzira Prison.

Meanwhile, FUFA amended section 39 of the competitions Rules whereby the defaulting parties linked to acts of hooliganism and violence outside the precincts of the match venue or outside Game time shall be sanctioned in accordance with the Ethics and Disciplinary Code.
