Lweza Vs Bright Stars – Wankulukuku

JMC Hippos Vs SC Villa – Kakindu

Sadolin Paints Vs Kirinya Jinja SS – Namboole

Six teams will be in action on Sunday as the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) continues with three matches on the day.

At Kakindu, SC Villa have a chance to close the gap on leaders KCCA when they take stubborn JMC.

The Jogoos were frustrated in a goalless draw by Bright Stars on league resumption and they will be eager to avoid a result less than three points.

“All games are tough but we have prepared for the game very well,” said Coach Shafik Bisaso.

The first leg was decided by former JMC Hippos player, Ambrose Kirya and he, together with new signing Emmanuel Okwi, Godfrey Lwesibawa and the duo of Alex Kitaata and Umar Kasumba will be tasked to hunt the desired match winning goals.

A win for the 16-time league winners will see them close the gap on KCCA who are not action on the day.

Second placed SC Villa will move to same points, 35 if they win while JMC Hippos, bottom of the table will remain in the same place regardless of the result on the day as they have 5 points.

At Namboole, Sadolin Paints host struggling Jinja SS in the Jinja derby with both looking to win to brighten their chances of staying up.

The Painters started the second round with a disappointing 2-0 loss to Police and the game against Kirinya, the bluntest side in the division presents a good chance for Kirumira’s side to collect all points.

Elsewhere, Lweza, 10th on the log host 8th placed Bright Stars at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The two side failed to win on match day 16 with Lweza losing 2-0 to Vipers whilst Bright Stars earned a point against SC Villa.
