Busoga United assistant captain Laban Tibita is confident ahead of the kick-off of the second round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

They host Maroons at the Fufa Technical Centre Njeru looking to build on the form they had garnered when the first round climaxed.

“We are confident as players and want to build on the form we ended the first round with,” said Tibita.

“At the moment, we understand the importance of picking up points and the target will be ensure we win games and move up the table,” he added.

In the reverse fixture, Maroons won 5-0 on opening day but will find far tougher resistance against a side that beat Vipers and Wakiso Giants towards the end of the first round.

Overall, Busoga United hold edge in the tie with two wins against Maroons’ one while the rest of the seven meetings have been stalemates.

In the other game of the afternoon, table leaders KCCA make a short trip to Wakiso where hosts Wakiso Giants are lurking.
