SC Villa 0-1 Onduparaka
Onduparaka made it two out of two wins as they beat SC Villa 1-0 at Namboole on Wednesday.
Rashid Toha punished the Jogoos from a well taken free kick as soon as referee Ali Sabilla kicked the match off.
His first minute goal for Onduparaka is the quickest in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) this season.
“To get the goal is important for me but we knew it was going to be difficult against Villa,” said Toha, “So this is big.”
Villa captain Ambrose Kirya is confident they will bounce back.
“We deserved something from the game because we didn’t play poorly,” he said, “We shall come back better.”
The victory moved Onduparaka to six points but remain behind Bright Stars because they have scored fewer goals.
Both teams had chances to improve the scoreline, with Viane Sekajugo bothering Villa for good spells and Joseph Semujju and Villa skipper Kirya probing in vain.
Villa have now picked just one point from a possible six.
