In January 2018, Tom Ikara was on his way to joining Police FC but KCCA hijacked the deal.

The lanky custodian then signed a three year contract with the Kasasiro before he was loaned to Mbarara City last season.

Two years later, the former Busoga United goalkeeper signs for Police FC on a two year contract.

Ikara was unveiled by the Cops on Tuesday in preparation for the 2020/21 season that tentatively kicks off in October.

“I’m going to do my best and put in a better performance than before,” said Ikara.

“Police is a big team with history and i’m happy to associate with it,” he added.

The head coach Abdallah Mubiru said, “We thank God who has enabled us acquire his services. He brings a lot of experience and commitment.”

Ikara joins Tonny Mawejje, Mood Hassan and Eric Ssenjobe as new signings at the club.

Yusuf Ssozi and Johnson Odong have signed new contracts at the club.
