Tooro United’s impressive form continued when they travelled to Onduparaka and beat the hosts from their own backyard 1-0 on Friday.
Godfrey Lwesibawa was the man of the day as his lone goal five minutes from time ensured Tooro claimed their 10th victory in 25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches.
The win saw coach Wasswa Bbosa’s men move two places up to fifth on 39 points, displacing Onduparaka, who fell two places on 37 marks.
In Mbarara, Joseph Akandwanaho had to come to relegation threatened Nyamityobora’s rescue as his 38th goal cancelled out Cromwel Rwothomio’s earlier dagger for URA.
Elsewhere, Ndejje University and Bul played out a 1-1 draw at the Arena of Visions,
Anwar Ntege (penalty) Richard Wandyaka scoring the goals.
