No goals were scored in two StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches played in Mbarara and at Bombo on Wednesday.

Hosts Mbarara City forced KCCA to a goalless draw at Kakyeka Stadium, while nothing came of SC Villa and URA blows at Bombo Barracks ground.

That saw coach Sam Ssimbwa’s URA squander a priceless opportunity to open a two-point lead on Vipers SC, who also posted the same result against Wakiso Giants on Tuesday.

The two are now level on 43 points after 19 matches, nine ahead of fourth-placed KCCA and 13 adrift of Villa in sixth position.

Express, who lost 2-1 to Soltilo Bright Stars the day before, are sandwiched in third on 37 points. Mbarara are 11th on 22 points.
