KCCA Vs Vipers – Nakivubo @ 4pm Live on Azam TV
All roads lead to Nakivubo stadium where a potential league decider is on this Friday afternoon when KCCA host Vipers.
The fixtures pits first and second and with few rounds to go, the result will have a big bearing on the title destiny.
KCCA, who lead the standings on 51 points, six better than Vipers have fallen short in their previous two games losing to strugglers The Saints and Simba, results that put the champions who have played two games less firmly into the race.
“The two losses have adversely affected our run in but with a six point lead, we are firmly in control,” KCCA first team Coach Badru Kaddu told upl.co.ug before adding. “The game against Vipers presents arguably the toughest test so far but we have enough quality to overcome it.”
Fully aware that a loss would re-open the gap to nine, Vipers George ‘Best’ Nsimbe has described the tie as most crucial.
“It’s a very crucial tie,” he told upl.co.ug. “The target is maximum points because we don’t want the gap to widen. If we close the gap to three by tomorrow (Friday), then we shall be in good position to defend the title,” he added.
The hosts go into the game minus a number of key players including striker Herman Wasswa who was on the score sheet the last time KCCA won this tie.
He joins Lawrence Kasadha, Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Godfrey Ssembatya in the sick bay.
