The StarTimes Uganda Premier League will tentatively kick off in October.

However, that hasn’t stopped clubs from preparations by signing players.

On Sunday, KCCA unveiled striker Brian Aheebwa who they captured from Mbarara City.

The centre forward signed a three year contract at Lugogo and becomes the club’s sixth signing in the transfer window.

He joins Ashraf Mugume (Vipers), Charles Lwanga (SC Villa), Denis Iguma (free agent), Italian Mazzengo Lloro and Bright Anukani (Bright Stars).

At Jinja, Busoga United offered contract extension to Ali Kimera but lost Ibrahim Mugulusi to rivals Bul.

Bul also signed left back Aggrey Madoi from Wakiso Giants on a two year contract.

Elsewhere, Tom Masiko joined Wakiso Giants on a permanent deal from Vipers signing three years at Wakiso.

The player spent last season with the Purple Sharks on loan.

At Kibuli, Police offered new contracts to youngsters Mubarak Nsubuga and Bashir Kabuye.
