St George Vs KCCA

Ugandan champions KCCA have been boosted by the return from injury layoffs of three crucial players as the team gear up for their Caf Champions League encounter with Ethiopia’s St George on Wednesday.
Julius Poloto – scorer of the lone goal in KCCA’s Premier League victory on Saturday, Mustafa Kizza and Muzamir Mutyaba all played a vital role on their return against an experienced Soana side at the weekend.
“We started them on the bench with the exception of Poloto, trying to see what the others can do,” explained Mutebi.
“When we included (introduced) them we were more authoritative in our play, had more stability so Allan (Okello) could play.
“That’s what Mutyaba gave us as a good ball user. Kizza is supposed to be first among equals and now that he is back is good for us,” Mutebi added.
Poloto got the winning goal of the game off a Kizza corner kick that also turned out to be his 10th assist of the season.
“The result (over Soana) gives us confidence because I know if we play the way we play, we shall go to Addis Ababa and pick a good result,” further explained Mutebi.
“I believe in my players and I know they are good.
“So this result has been a precursor to what is going to happen on the continent and it has given us belief.”
