Bright Stars, Maroons and Bul all recorded crucial victories on Wednesday as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) neared the end of the 2018/19 season.

Nelson Senkatuka scored the only goal at Namboole as Bright Stars beat home side URA to move one place up to 10th on 34 points.

Coach Sam Ssimbwa’s URA remained third on 43 points.

Bul’s Richard Wandyaka netted the only goal against Kirinya to settle the Jinja derby as the former moved one up to fifth on 40 points.

At Luzira, Maroons moved to 29 points as their 2-1 victory over Tooro boosted their survival chances.

Bronson Nsubuga and Isaac Otto scored for Maroons while John Byamukama got Tooro’s consolation.
