League champions Express are in jovial mood ahead of the Caf Champions League tie against El Merrikh.

The Red Eagles host the Sudan giants on Friday at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende in the first leg of the first round before a return leg in a week’s time.

The good news at Wankulukuku is the renewal of contract for title winning Coach Wasswa Bbosa and his staff as well as the signing of versatile midfielders Deus Bukenya and Nicholas Kasozi.

“I would like to thank the chairman and CEO for seeing to it that I and my backroom staff stay put for another season. We have achieved a lot together and I believe we shall achieve more this coming season,” he stated.

“This was bound to happen but it was only a matter of time so now it time to double our efforts and perform well on the continent” Bbosa spoke to the club website.

Meanwhile, Kasozi was got on a season long loan deal from Kyetume while Bukenya signed a one year permanent contract.

He has been a free agent since leaving Botswana and nearly joined Police FC last season.
