Uganda 1-0 Rwanda

Kenya 0-1 Mali

Fahad Bayo was the man of the moment again as the Israel-based striker scored yet another winning goal as Uganda beat Rwanda 1-0 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Sunday.

Bayo was the match winner in a similar scoreline victory over the Amabubi Stars in Kigali last Thursday.

The striker pounced on 22 minutes to head in a poor clearance from Rwanda forward Meddie Kagere following a corner from Isaac Muleme.

The only change from the Cranes team that started in Kigali last week was suspended Khalid Aucho sitting this out and young defender Aziz Kayondo starting.

Mali – who also beat Kenya 1-0 in Nairobi through an Ibrahima Kone goal – maintain table leadership on 10 points.

Uganda remain second on eight points, six and seven ahead Kenya and Rwanda, who will now only honour the remaining two matches.

Uganda – who alongside Mali are yet to concede a goal after four matches – welcome home Kenya on November 11 as the Harambee Stars host Rwanda.
