Uganda remained static in September’s Fifa rankings despite beating Comoros to qualify for the 2017 Nations Cup finals.

The release on Thursday September 15, 2016 left Uganda ranked 65th in the world with 509 points and 15th on the African continent.

Uganda Cranes’ next opponent in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers, Ghana, slipped eight places to 43rd in the world but are fifth in Africa.

Other Cranes opponents in the Road to Russia, Egypt and Congo Brazzaville are ranked 53rd and 54th respectively in the world.

Togo, who face Cranes in an international friendly before the away date against Ghana on October 7,are ranked 100th – an improvement of nine slots.
