Uganda is among the beneficiaries of a Caf Club Safety and Security training due later this month.

The regional workshop dubbed ‘Promoting Stadium Safety and Security’ will take place on August 26 to 27 and will involve Uganda and Tanzania.

Hajji Abdul Sekabila, the chairman of the Fufa Safety and Security Committee, Herbert Nsubuga, Jamal Ngobi, Robert Obik and Steven Kachumu are among the facilitators.

Deputy CEO of Fufa, Humphrey Mandu, who is also a Caf trained Security Officer, will be the chief instructor for Uganda and Tanzania.

Reknown Caf security officer Dickson ‘Bond’ Okello will be the chief instructor for Ghana, Botswana and South Africa.

According to a Caf circular, the training will be online as part of Covid SOPs but an in-person meeting, too, has not been ruled out.

“At the end of the training, all participants will get their certificates printed electronically,” read in part a communication to participants.
