KCCA 3-1 Police

StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) leaders, KCCA, continued their impressive start to the season with yet another routine victory, this time a 3-1 defeat of Police on Friday.

Davis Kasirye, Charles Lwanga and Mato Rogers scored for the hosts in the come-from-behind win at the MTN Omondi Stadium.

Juma Balinya first put the Cops ahead early on from a penalty spot after Samson Kigozi had brought down Tonny Mawejje in the box.

But coach Morley Byekwaso’s men replied through Kasirye, the striker nodding home from Kigozi’s cross on 17 minutes.

KCCA then went ahead for the first time when Lwanga reacted quickest to tap home a rebound from a Brian Majwega effort for a 2-1 half time lead.

Mato killed off the contest with KCCA’s third three minutes from full time as the leaders registered their eighth win in 10 matches. The other two are draws.

KCCA maintain table leadership off BUL by six points. The Kasasiro Boys have 26.

Coach Abdallah Mubiru’s winless Police remain rooted at the bottom of the table with just three points.
