Vipers SC 3-0 SC Villa

Vipers SC went top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table following a resounding 3-0 victory over SC Villa at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Wednesday.

Striker Caesar Manzoki helped himself to a double while Yunus Sentamu scored the other goal as the Venoms leapfrogged KCCA to the summit.

Vipers now have 33 points from 15 matches, while KCCA – who have played a game fewer – are two marks behind. The day’s victims, Villa, are miles away in 11th with 16 points from 15 games.

The hosts took the lead as early as six minutes when Sentamu grabbed his eighth goal of the season but it remained tight until the half time break.

But the hosts persistent probe yielded more results when Manzoki made it 2-0 just after the hour. He got booked for celebrating this in front of the visiting fans but the striker cared less, plundering Vipers third and his 10th of the season on 67 minutes. The league continues on Thursday.
