Police 1-2 UPDF
UPDF moved out of the bottom of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) table following their 2-1 victory over Police at Namboole on Tuesday.
The soldiers took the lead through Robert Nakyenalire on 52 minutes but the Policemen, who have struggled at the start of the second round, hit back through Ben Ochen after the hour.
The soldiers, however, showed resilience; bouncing back to score the winner through Sulaiman Majanjalo on 67 points for all three points.
Coach Stephen Bogere’s UPDF are now third from bottom on 17 points, while Abdallah Mubiru’s Police, who led standings for long spells in the first round, have since slumped to sixth on 25 points.
