Busoga United 0-2 UPDF

UPDF finally registered their first three points of the 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season after they beat Busoga United 2-0 at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru on Wednesday.

Christopher Tebandeke and substitute Rashid Faridi scored UPDF’s goals in either half for the soldiers to win their first game in six attempts.

The victory lifts the Bombo side from the bottom three and two places up from relegation to 12th on five points.

This was Busoga’s third defeat in six matches and keeps them ninth on seven points.

UPDF went ahead on 11 minutes when Tebandeke’s seemingly intended cross ended at the back of the Busoga net.

The soldiers wrapped up the victory 12 minutes from full time when Faridi connected home Djibril Nsimbe’s ball.
