Tooro 2-4 UPDF
Wakiso Giants 4-2 Soltilo Bright Stars
Busoga 0-1 Arua Hill
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) was awash with goals on Tuesday as 16 were scored across six matches played in the division.
Two matches involving Tooro United and the UPDF, plus Wakiso Giants at home to Soltilo Bright Stars produced 12 of those goals.
The UPDF won the six-goal thriller in Fort Portal, triumphing over hosts Tooro United 4-2, while Giants thrashed Bright Stars by the same scoreline in Wakiso.
The match between Tooro and UPDF was quite a weird one, though, with both teams scoring two penalties of the four that were awarded on the day.
Visitors UPDF got the first penalty which Pilsner Man of the Match Ivan Ahimbisibwe successfully dispatched on 17 minutes.
Then Tooro won their own spot kick, and Hussein Mwanje stepped forward to make it 1-1 on 25 minutes.
The scramble in the forbidden box continued, Tooro earning another one and Mwanje completing his brace from the spot in the first of three added minutes of the first half.
All was set for Tooro to take a 2-1 lead into the break, but UPDF forced another penalty in the third minute of added time.
Ahimbisibwe, who had an impressive game overall, stepped forward again and never made a mistake from the spot.
The UPDF’s fourth win in eight matches moves them up to fourth on 14 points, five behind leaders KCCA.
Tooro are second from bottom on four points from eight games.

The Purple Sharks put four past the visitors, Bright Stars, with Ivan Bogere helping himself to a brace and Edward Satulo and Pius Kaggwa getting the other goals.
James Angu’s brace for Bright Stars could only count for a consolation.
In the east, Pilsner Man of the Match Alfred Leku’s 62nd minute goal was enough to hand visitors Arua Hill maximum points at Busoga United.
