New UPDF Coach Steven Bogere can’t wait for the January transfer window to reinforce his struggling side.
Bogere began his career at the Bombo based side with a slim 1-0 defeat the hands of log leaders Police on Tuesday and immediately admitted his side lack confidence and quality.
“I am quite unfortunate that I inherited a squad low on confidence, low on class with lack of direction,” he told reporters. “But we the transfer window is not far away,” he added.
We lack competition for places in our squad, some positions are under employed and we hope to begin looking at reinforcements as soon as possible, we need to strengthen in all departments.
Nevertheless, the former SC Villa coach picked positives from the loss to Abdallah Mubiru’s side.
We dominated play and created enough chances to win the game but we were a bit lackluster in front of goal.
UPDF lie second from bottom with 5 points after 8 games and have lost five games so far.
