Ugandan international Faruku Miya completed his move from HNK Gorica in Croatia to Turkish club, Konyaspor, on Tuesday.
The former Uganda Premier League (UPL) club, Vipers SC player penned a three-year contract with the Turkish topflight side.
“I thank everyone who contributed to my transfer. I’m excited about the Konyaspor jersey and am waiting for the day I will be on the field,” said Miya.
The player was unveiled by the club manager Seçkin Özdil at Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium, Turkey, on Tuesday.
“I admired the stadium and facilities. As soon as I stepped into the club, I realized what a great community I was in,” said the 21-year-old Miya.
“I want to make a great contribution to Konyaspor with my performance. I had the chance to watch the first game of the season. We have a very high quality and very strong team.”
Miya played all Uganda’s four games at Afcon in Egypt. Before his stint in Croatia, the forward was with Belgian side Standard Liege, who loaned him to local rivals Royal Excel Mouscron and Sabail in Azerbaijan.
