UPL stars obliterate Somalia

Uganda 4-1 Somalia (Agg: 7-2)

Uganda Premier League stars brushed away Somalia to progress to the next level of the Chan 2020 qualifiers.

KCCA duo of Patrick Kaddu and Allan Kyambadde scored the goals at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo to ensure Cranes won the tie 7-2 on aggregate.

The team coached by Police FC’s Abdallah Mubiru started the game brilliantly and won a penalty inside two minutes which Kaddu perfectly converted.

Kyambadde added another goal from a very quick transition that saw only four players, Mujjuzi, Kayiwa, Okello and Kyambadde touch the ball from the Cranes half to the opponents’ net.

Kaddu scored another penalty three minutes to the half time break after Kayiwa was brought down in the area and he completed his hat trick with a well taken header off Mustafa Kizza corner two minutes after the break.

Changes were made with Proline’s Bright Anukani, Vipers Daniel Sserunkuma and URA’s Shafik Kuchi Kagimu but there no more goals for the Cranes but Somalia got a consolation later on.
