Cranes head coach Milutin Micho Sredojevic has named a squad of 22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) players for a camp in Ethiopia and Zanzibar before an Africa Nations Championship (Chan) qualifier in Tanzania.

The team travelled to Ethiopia, where they will play two friendly matches, on Thursday evening

The squad comprises of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and six forwards.

After the two friendly matches against Ethiopia on Friday and Sunday this week the team will travel Zanzibar for acclimatization before connecting to mainland Tanzania for the first leg of the Chan qualifiers on August 28.

“Now we enter second stage (of preparation), which is checking match fitness,” Micho told Fufa’s website.

The return leg of this Chan qualifier will be played on September 3 at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

The winner on aggregate between Uganda and Tanzania will qualify to the final tournament slated for January next year in Algeria.
