Brian Majwega and Shafik ‘Kuchi’ Kagimu scored in either half to hand URA a 2-0 victory over Mbarara City on Tuesday.
The win saw the Taxmen increase their lead at the top of the StartTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) to four points.
URA now have 47 points after that result in Ndejje, with Vipers second on 43 – but the Vipers having played a game fewer.
Mbarara, URA’s victims on the day, are 10th on 25 points, six clear of the drop zone.
In Bombo, Villa needed an injury time equalizer from Mohammed Nsereko to snatch a one-all against visiting Bul.
The 16-time league champions played this one in their long awaited new kit.
Villa had fallen behind to a Musa Esenu goal in the 69th minute.
The draw kept Villa seventh on 31 points, six more than ninth-placed Bul.
In Njeru, UPDF and Busoga United could only settle for a barren draw while Kyetume suffered a 4-2 defeat to bottom side.
