Friday’s result
URA 1-1 Bul
URA’s three-match winning run came to a halt on Friday as they drew 1-1 with visiting Bul at Namboole in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL).
Cromwell Rwothomio, scorer in URA’s previous 2-0 victory over his former side Paidha Black Angels, was again on the score sheet, finishing off a fine team move initiated by captain Shafik Kagimu.
But hit back after the break with Richard Wandyaka bundling home Umar Mukobe’s precise freekick.
“We played without typical strikers because our forwards got an accident just after our last training,” coach Peter Onen said of the absence of Bul forwards James Otim Deogratious Ojok afterwards.
The pair sustained injuries in a boda boda accident with fears they could miss the rest of the season.
With seven games left URA stay fourth with 39 points, two behind Mbarara who have played a game more while Bul are fifth on 36 points.
