URA Coach and Chairman Paul Nkata and James Kizza are optimistic the new signings will bring value to the club.
The four-time league winners unveiled a total of seven signings ahead of the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) including former league golden boot winner, Herman Wasswa.
“We are delighted to have finally secured the services of the above players,” a smiling Kizza told the press at Namboole. “And we believe that they have all the qualities to make an immediate impact at the club,” he added.
Nkata, returning to the club after stints in Kenya where he won the league with Tusker also echoed a similar statement.
“They are good acquisitions, and I hope that they add value in our tough campaign ahead.
Besides Wasswa, the club has signed De Boss Kalama, Derrick Ochen and Moses Seruyide from Kira United, Sadrach Sebulime from City Lads as well as Charles Odeke from Masavu.
URA are 7th on the league standings after 15 games with 20 points and Kizza admits this isn’t where they belong.
They get their second round underway against Bul, coached by their former coach, Kefa Kisala.
