Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) side, URA have completed the signing of striker Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza.According to reliable sources, the striker has penned a six months deal at the club although both parties remained tightlipped on the details.
Kiiza, who has recently been released by South African side, Free State Stars confirmed the deal saying he is delighted to be back where he calls home.
“It’s nice to be back home,” Kiiza told Kawowo Sports. “I have so many great memories at the club and am here to repay the faith they have vested in me,” he added.
There were many offers on the table since leaving Free State Stars by mutual consent but URA is the club where I want to play.
Kiiza featured for URA between 2006 and 2011 after he joined the side from Nalubaale FC, which was based in Buikwe then.
He has played for Young Africans and Simba in Tanzania and has won league titles in Uganda and Tanzania.
Kyeyune also back
The club also confirmed the re-capture of midfielder Said Kyeyune who they signed from Proline, six months after releasing him.
The Tax Collectors had an abysmal performance in the first half of the season where they finished 6th on the log with 22 points, 10 adrift of leaders KCCA.
